One of those cruises we were in a collision off the coast of Sicily.  We sideswiped one of our own ships.  As the story goes we had rushed over to Istanbul with a load of photographers aboard to catch the new Russian Carrier, Leningrad, coming out of the straits out of the Black Sea.  Once there, the smaller Russian Cruisers was using shouldering tactics cutting us off from getting close to the new carrier for pictures.  As it would happen a month later we were practicing those shouldering tactics with one of our own ships and we bounced fantails about 5 AM one morning.  Damaged the prop and had to limp into Toulon, France for emergency repairs.  They did temporary repairs and got us going again to finish out our cruise.
